Review: Adore Me (The Keatyn Chronicles 4.5) by Jillian dodd

Summary: Join Keatyn on Thanksgiving Break in this Keatyn Chronicles novella.

I’ve finally become the kind of girl my little sisters could look up to.
Except for the lies.
Lying to my friends is killing me.
And the longer I’m there—the closer we get—the more I feel like I’m being eaten from the inside out.
If I go back to Eastbrooke, I’ll end up nothing but a shell.
So I'm not going back.
I'm going to St. Croix by myself. And for the first time in my life, I'm okay with being alone.

Except...I don't actually end up on the island alone.

Review: Jillian Dodd has done it again. I am left yet again dying to know what happens next.
I won't say anything about what happens in this one or even mention who is on the island with Keatyn since its better left as a surprise but I will say I have now 100% decided who I want moonboy to be and I won't change my mind at all through the rest of the series ever again. I loved everything about this book.
Adore Me might be shorter than the other books but it is just as good (if not better) as the others in this series.
I really can't wait until Hate Me comes out.

If you haven't started this series yet then now is the time. Book 1 Stalk Me is free and you can buy all of the books out so far for under $10 until November 30th.

Review - Impostor (Variants #1) by Susanne Winnacker

Summary: Tessa is a Variant with extraordinary abilities. She could be a hero, but all she wants to do is fall in love ...

Tessa is a Variant, able to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and mimic their appearance. Shunned by her family, she's spent the last two years with the Forces with Extraordinary Abilities, a secret branch of the FBI. There she trains with other Variants, such as long-term crush Alec, who each have their own extraordinary ability.

When a serial killer rocks a small town in Oregon, Tessa is given a mission: she must impersonate Madison, a local teen, to find the killer before he strikes again. Tessa hates everything about being an impostor - the stress, the danger, the deceit - but loves playing the role of a normal girl. As Madison, she finds friends, romance, and the kind of loving family she'd do anything to keep.

Amid action, suspense, and a ticking clock, this super-human comes to a very human conclusion: even a girl who can look like anyone struggles the most with being herself.

Impostor was a great book. I loved the characters and their powers but I thought Tessa could have done better than Alec. He doesn't seem right for her in my eyes.
The mystery was interesting and kept my guessing all through the book. there were many possibilities as to who the killer was but it wasn't completely obvious. I would have liked less of the romance and more mystery.
Looking forward to reading more of this story.

Review: Horde (Razorland #3) by Ann Aguirre

5 stars

Been waiting ages for this one to come out and I was not disappointed.
This was by far the best in the trilogy. Deuce has grown so much from the girl we met in Enclave. She is  stronger as well as more loving. She cares about more than how good people are at fighting.
Deuce is not the only character who has grown a lot since Enclave.

There were sad parts and happy parts. Characters I grew to love didn't make it to the end but there was an appearance of some old characters Deuce never thought she would see again (don't see this as a spoiler since we all knew it would happen after reading  Endurance)

Sad to see the end of this trilogy but look forward to reading Ann Aguirre's other books

Review: Omens (Cainsville #1) by Kelley Armstrong

6 Stars

I have loved every book by Kelley Armstrong so far and Omens is no different.
Many people have gave this book a low star rating and bad review just because it wasn't Paranormal like her Otherworld books but neither were her Nadia books and I loved them so that didn't put me off reading.
I love Kelley's writing style she can suck you in at the first sentence of her books regardless of the Genre.

Omens was a great start to the Cainsville series and I really can't wait for book 2.
Olivia is strong and believable just like all of Kelley's other Characters. The story pulls you right into the pages and makes you feel like your living through everything with Olivia. The ending leaves you wanting more and I now wish I had waited until all the books were out before reading but how could I resist a new Kelley Armstrong book.

Review: Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin

3 Stars

Received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I requested this because I LOVE weres.
This was ok but a little to unrealistic. I didn't like Dastien or Tessa at all. Tessa was far to much of a whiner. That girl really can moan about everything except the things she should moan about (like the deadly bites she likes to keep quiet about or the possible traitor) and it really got on my nerves. luckily the other characters made up for them.
I didn't get why the locals kept quiet about the werewolves. They don't like them and were horrible to Tessa after she was bitten so why not tell the world about the nasty weres?
The magic seemed interesting but there was only a little. Would have liked to have seen more of it.
This story could have been much better and looked so interesting but was such a let down.
I don't know if i'll read any others in this series or not.

Review: Poor Little Dead Girls by Lizzie Friend

4 Stars
Received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was an enjoyable read. Sadie is happy to get a scholarship to her mothers old school but when she is kidnapped by and initiated into a secret society she realizes that it wasn't her amazing lacrosse skills that got her into the school but something to do with her dead mothers past.
I liked this book and would love to read more about what happens to Sadie in collage and really hope this story continues since I don't think Sadie would have gotten away so easily.

Review: Gemini Falling by Eleanor Wood

2 Stars

Received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

When I requested this title I didn't realize it was a short story in companion to another book I haven't read yet.
I didn't enjoy this story much and thought it was a little boring. It started to get good and then ended. It didn't make much sense and I didn't feel anything for the characters. When I opened the goodreads page for this book I noticed that this was a short in companion to Gemini Rising and I think I will read that since it sounds interesting. I think if I read the other book I will understand this one much better.
If you haven't read the other book I wouldn't read this but if you have you may enjoy it.
